Ride Alongs

Explorers are allowed to ride with officers from Patrol, Investigations, Traffic, and the Jail.

For rides with the Patrol division the Explorer must:

1. Wear the Class A Uniform
2. Sign the Ride Along Book in the Command Center
   *It is recommended that the Explorer arrive 15 minutes before the start of a shift, 0545 for the day shift, 1745 for the night shift, to be assigned to an officer for the shift.*

For rides with the Investigations Division, Traffic Division, or Jail, the Explorer must:

1. Contact the Chief of Police and receive approval for the ride.
2. Wear the appropriate uniform. Class A for Traffic and Jail, Class C for Investigations.
